Equine Sport and Agriculture Association, Inc.
A home for equine sport and agriculture in Saskatoon.
Equine sports are a driver of economic growth across Canada. We’re on a mission to create a hub for agricultural activities to grow and support a vibrant equine industry right here in Saskatoon.
Supporting a connection to agriculture in Saskatoon.
Equine sports connect urban and rural, young and old. Horses benefit our health and well-being, provide employment and entertainment, and drive economic growth. Saskatchewan has the third-largest population of horses in the country, with great potential for growth.
Much like Saskatchewan’s enduring agricultural heritage, the province’s appreciation of the horse runs deep. From 4H to ranching, competitions, horse racing and beyond, our province continues to value the role of the horse, even as our society evolves.
We envision a collaborative environment in which agriculture can thrive in urban Saskatoon, using the existing agricultural infrastructure at the Marquis Downs site and Ag Centre.
Rethinking Marquis Downs
Our organization has embarked on a mission to become the operators of an equine sports hub in Saskatoon. The Marquis Downs facility and the Ag Centre are underutilized and can be improved by embracing a community-first business model.
With closer collaboration between equine industries, ESAA is dedicated to ensuring that equestrian sport and agriculture can continue to grow and prosper in Saskatoon.
A successful equine industry benefits us all.
The connection between the equine community and the broader agricultural industry in Saskatchewan reflects a profound and mutually beneficial relationship.
We seek to safeguard the traditions of our province and seed the next generation’s passion for agriculture.
